Mychal Tamillow was arrested following a disturbance that was reported early on Thursday morning at a residence in Stafford.

Investigators say that at around 3 a.m. on Nov. 14, deputies on patrol on Shaw Court heard "a loud ruckus" coming from a residence, with someone shouting "get off me" prompting intervention.

Deputies made contact with two men inside the home, and it was determined that Tamillow, in an intoxicated state, confronted his roommate over a problem with the rent.

The roommate then retreated to his bedroom in an effort to de-escalate the situation, though Tamillow had a different idea and broke down the bedroom door.

It is alleged that Tamillow assaulted his roommate and demanded cash until the onslaught was interrupted by the deputies, who took him into custody.

Tamillow was arrested and charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, attempted robbery, as well as assault and battery.

He is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $5,000 secured bond.
